Create Your Own Chuppah Cards (כרטיסי תפילה לחופה)

Customize, edit, print, and download your own Chuppah Cards — the printed cards of Tefilot & Tehillim traditionally handed out to guests under the chuppah so they can daven for the chatan, kallah, and Klal Yisrael during the ceremony. Add the couple's Hebrew names, pick Hebrew, transliteration, and English, choose which prayers to include, and print at home or at a print shop. Free — no signup.

The wedding day is considered a personal Yom Kippur for the chatan and kallah — the gates of tefilah are open and a chatan and kallah's brachot are uniquely powerful. Chuppah Cards turn that moment into a shared tefilah, with every guest davening from the same printed text for refuah, parnassah, zivugim, the IDF, and the rebuilding of Yerushalayim.

    Customize Your Chuppah Cards

Add the chatan and kallah's Hebrew names and the wedding date — they appear on the printed cover.

    English Meaning

Torah is a tree of life to those who hold fast to her, and those who support her are happy. Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace. The Name of Hashem is a tower of strength; the righteous run into it and are exalted. May it be Your will, Hashem our God and God of our ancestors, that You fill Yourself with mercy upon us — and act for the sake of our holy patriarchs Avraham (man of kindness), Yitzchak (girded with strength) and Ya'akov (crowned with beauty) — to annul from us every harsh and evil decree. Shelter us in the shadow of Your wings; let us be healthy in every limb and sinew. Guard us from every trouble, fear, and illness; save us from every form of sorcery and from confusion of mind. Let our heart not be sick and our eyes not grow dim; let us be settled in our minds. Give us strength, health, and sufficient ability, courage and vigor in our limbs and bodies, to stand on guard, that no pain or illness befall us, and that we be joyful, good, and healthy in Your service and awe. Save us from all evil. Lengthen our days in goodness and our years in pleasantness. Add to us length of days and years of life for Your service. Shelter us, our families, and households from every harsh decree. May we be tranquil and serene, full and flourishing, in Your service and awe. For with You is the source of life — in Your light we see light. In all to which we turn may we succeed, and in all we do may we prosper. Amen, so may it be His will.

    English Meaning

May it be Your will, Hashem our God and God of our ancestors, that my livelihood and sustenance — and that of my household together with all Your people Israel — be crowned, secured, and granted righteously from Your hand. Do not make me dependent on gifts of flesh and blood, nor on their loans, but only upon Your full, open, holy, and ample hand. May my work and all my dealings be for blessing and not for poverty, for life and not for death; grant me that Heaven's Name not be desecrated through me. Let me be one who benefits and bestows good upon all people, and fill my hand with Your blessings — satisfy us with Your goodness as You did for those who left Mitzrayim, for You, Hashem, have blessed and continue to bless forever. The eyes of all look hopefully to You, and You give them their food in its time; You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with favor. Cast your burden on Hashem and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to falter. Amen.

    English Meaning

May it be Your will, Hashem my God and God of my ancestors, in Your great mercy and abundant kindness, that You bring me my fitting partner at her proper time, suitable for all my needs and well-being — a worthy match suitable to bear children, from the seed of Torah scholars, of tzaddikim, of people of truth and those who fear sin, just as You brought a partner to Adam, Avraham, Yitzchak, Ya'akov, and Moshe, each one at his proper time. Let the woman You bring to me be a good woman, beautiful in her deeds and her appearance, full of good deeds, of grace, intelligent and God-fearing, pursuing righteousness and doing kindness. Let there be in her no flaw, blemish, or defect; let her not be quick to anger, but rather humble and of low spirit, healthy and strong. May the cruelty of people, enemies, their plans, schemes, and counsels not delay my proper partner. May the verse be fulfilled in me: 'One who has found a wife has found goodness'; 'The staff of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous'; and 'Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the corners of your home; your children like olive saplings around your table.' For You settle the solitary in a home and bring forth captives at the right moment. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer.

    English Meaning

Torah is a tree of life to those who hold fast to her, and those who support her are happy. Her ways are pleasantness; all her paths are peace. The Name of Hashem is a tower of strength — the righteous run to it and are exalted. May it be Your will, Hashem our God and God of our ancestors, to be filled with mercy upon us, and to act for the sake of our holy patriarchs — Avraham, man of kindness; Yitzchak, girded with strength; Ya'akov, crown of beauty — to annul from upon us every harsh and evil decree. Shelter us in the shadow of Your wings; let us be healthy in every limb and sinew; guard us from every trouble, fear, and illness; save us from every form of sorcery and confusion of mind; let our heart not be sick nor our eyes grow dim. Let us be settled in our minds; give us strength and health for Your service and awe. Lengthen our days in goodness and pleasantness, and in all to which we turn may we succeed and in all we do may we prosper. Amen, so may it be His will.

Master of the Universe — grant us that our children shine in Torah, healthy in body and mind, of fine character, engaged in Torah for its own sake. Give them long, good lives, filled with Torah, wisdom, and awe of Heaven; beloved Above and cherished below. Save them from the evil eye, from the evil inclination, and from all forms of trouble; let their senses be healthy for Your service. In Your abundant mercy grant us (and my wife / my husband) long days and years of goodness, pleasantness, love, and peace, that we merit to raise each of our sons and daughters to Torah, to chuppah, and to good deeds. Bring to each of our sons his proper partner and to each of our daughters her proper partner, and let them not be pushed aside, God forbid. Bless the work of our hands to give them dowry and gifts generously; let us fulfill what we promise without a vow; and let us marry them off in their youthful years with calm, comfort, and joy. Amen, so may it be His will.

    English Meaning

Our Father in Heaven, Rock of Israel and its Redeemer — bless the State of Israel, the beginning of the flowering of our redemption. Shield her under the wings of Your kindness, spread over her the shelter of Your peace, and send Your light and truth to her leaders, ministers, and advisors; direct them with good counsel from before You. Strengthen the hands of the defenders of our Holy Land; grant them salvation, O God, and crown them with the crown of victory. Establish peace in the Land and everlasting joy for its inhabitants. Remember our brothers and sisters, the whole House of Israel, in all the lands of their dispersion; bring them speedily, upright, to Zion Your city and to Jerusalem the dwelling of Your name — as it is written in the Torah of Moshe Your servant: 'Even if your dispersed are at the ends of heaven, from there will Hashem your God gather you and from there will He take you. And Hashem your God will bring you to the Land your ancestors possessed, and you shall possess it; He will do you good and multiply you beyond your ancestors.' Unite our hearts to love and revere Your Name and to keep all the words of Your Torah, and send us speedily the son of David, Your righteous Messiah, to redeem those awaiting Your salvation. Appear in the splendor of Your majesty over all dwellers of Your earth, and let all that has breath in its nostrils declare: Hashem, God of Israel, is King, and His sovereignty rules over all. Amen, selah.

    English Meaning

May He who blessed our ancestors Avraham, Yitzchak, and Ya'akov bless the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces and the personnel of the security forces who stand guard over our land and the cities of our God — from the Lebanese border to the wilderness of Egypt, and from the Great Sea to the approach of the Arava — on land, in the air, and on the sea. May Hashem strike down before them the enemies who rise against us. May the Holy One, blessed be He, preserve and rescue our soldiers from every trouble and distress, every plague and illness, and send blessing and success to all the work of their hands. May He subdue our enemies before them and crown them with the crown of salvation and the wreath of victory. May the verse be fulfilled in them: 'For it is Hashem your God who marches with you to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.' And let us say: Amen.

    English Meaning

For the conductor, a psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament tells of His handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech; night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, no words — their voice is not heard, yet their line goes out through all the earth and their words to the ends of the world. He set a tent for the sun within them — it comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy (chuppah), rejoicing like a hero to run his course. The Torah of Hashem is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Hashem is faithful, making wise the simple. The precepts of Hashem are upright, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Hashem is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of Hashem is pure, enduring forever; the judgments of Hashem are true and altogether righteous — more desirable than gold, sweeter than honey from the comb. Who can discern his errors? Cleanse me of hidden faults. Keep Your servant also from willful sins; let them not rule over me. Then I shall be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before You, Hashem, my Rock and my Redeemer.

    English Meaning

A song of ascents. From the depths I call to You, Hashem. Lord, hear my voice; let Your ears be attentive to the sound of my pleas. If You, Yah, keep account of sins, Lord, who could stand? But forgiveness is with You, so that You may be revered. I hoped for Hashem; my soul hoped, and for His word I waited. My soul longs for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning — watchmen for the morning. Let Israel hope in Hashem, for with Hashem is kindness, and with Him is great redemption. And He will redeem Israel from all its sins.

    English Meaning

A meditation of David, when he was in the cave, a prayer. With my voice I cry out to Hashem; with my voice I plead with Hashem. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him. When my spirit grows faint within me, You know my path. On the way I walk they have hidden a trap for me. Look to my right and see — no one recognizes me; refuge has perished from me; no one seeks my soul. I cried out to You, Hashem; I said, You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living. Listen to my cry, for I have been brought very low. Save me from my pursuers, for they are too strong for me. Bring my soul out of confinement that I may give thanks to Your Name. With me the righteous will be crowned, for You will deal bountifully with me.

    What Are Chuppah Cards?

Chuppah Cards — sometimes called tefilot cards, tefillah for chuppah cards, or wedding tehillim cards — are small printed cards placed on every seat or handed to guests as they walk in to the chuppah. They contain the Tehillim, brachot, and tefilot the kallah's mother, mothers of the chatan and kallah, family, and friends say while the chatan walks down the aisle and stands under the chuppah. The custom is rooted in the teaching that the chuppah is an eis ratzon — a time of special divine favor — and that the tefilot of those gathered are answered along with those of the couple.

What to include on your Chuppah Cards

    • The chatan and kallah's Hebrew names (ben / bat) and the wedding date
    • Tehillim chapters traditionally said on a wedding day — 19, 20, 100, 121, 130, 142
    • The chapters spelling out the chatan and kallah's Hebrew names
    • Tefilot for refuah shleimah, parnassah, shidduchim, children, Klal Yisrael, and the IDF
    • The Sheva Brachot text so guests can follow along under the chuppah — see our Sheva Brachot guide
    • A short note explaining the minhag and inviting guests to daven for personal yeshuos

    How to print and distribute

Most couples print on heavy cardstock (80–100 lb), folded as a half-letter (5.5" × 8.5") or quarter-fold booklet, and place one on each seat before the chuppah. Print one for the chatan and kallah as a keepsake. Use the toolbar above to choose Hebrew, transliteration, or English; resize the font for older guests; and reorder sections. When you're ready, hit Print / Save PDF — your browser's print dialog can save the file for a print shop or send it straight to your home printer.
